According to Snopes.com, Princeton was requested to put a ‘restriction’ on 
distribution of any copies of the thesis of Michelle Obama (a/k/a/ Michelle 
laVaughn Robinson) saying it could not be made available until November 5, 2008 
but when it was published on a political website they decided they would lift 
the restriction.

           OBAMA’S MILITANT RACISM REVEALED
 
           In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama, the wife of Barack 
Obama stated that America was a nation founded on crime and hatred’. Moreover, 
she stated that whites in America were ‘ineradicably racist’. The 1985 thesis, 
titled ‘Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community’ was written under her 
maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson. 
 
           Michelle Obama stated in her thesis that to ‘Whites at Princeton , it 
often seems as if, to them, she will always be Black first…’ However, it was 
reported by a fellow black classmate, ‘If those ‘Whites at Princeton ‘ really 
saw Michelle as one who always would ‘be Black first,’ it seems that she gave 
them that impression’. 
 
           Most alarming is Michele Obama’s use of the terms ’separationist’ and 
‘integrationist’ when describing the views of black people.
 
           Mrs. Obama clearly identifies herself with a ’separationist’ view of 
race.
 
           ’By actually working with the Black lower class or within their 
communities as a result of their ideologies, a separationist may better 
understand the desperation of their situation and feel more hopeless about a 
resolution as opposed to an integrationist who is ignorant to their plight.’
 
           Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would 
likely lead to her ‘further integration and/or assimilation into a white 
cultural and social structure that will only allow me to remain on the periphery 
of society; never becoming a full participant.’ 
 
           Michele Obama clearly has a chip on her shoulder. 
 
           Not only does she see separate black and white societies in America , 
but she elevates black over white in her world.
 
 
 
           Here is another passage that is uncomfortable and ominous in meaning:
 
           ’There was no doubt in my mind that as a member of the black 
community, I am obligated to this community and will utilize all of my present 
and future resources to benefit the black community first and foremost. ‘
 
           What is Michelle Obama planning to do with her future resources if 
she’s first lady that will elevate black over white in America ?
 
           The following passage appears to be a call to arms for affirmative 
action policies that could be the hallmark of an Obama administration.
 
           ’Predominately white universities like Princeton are socially and 
academically designed to cater to the needs of the white students comprising the 
bulk of their enrollments.’ 
 
 
           The conclusion of her thesis is alarming. 
 
           Michelle Obama’s poll of black alumni concludes that other black 
students at Princeton do not share her obsession with blackness. But rather than 
celebrate, she is horrified that black alumni identify with our common American 
culture more than they value the color of their skin. ‘I hoped that these 
findings would help me conclude that despite the high degree of identification 
with whites as a result of the educational and occupational path that black 
Princeton alumni follow, the alumni would still maintain a certain level of 
identification with the black community. However, these findings do not support 
this possibility.’ 
 
           Is it no wonder that most black alumni ignored her racist 
questionnaire? Only 89 students responded out of 400 who were asked for input.
 
           Michelle Obama does not look into a crowd of Obama supporters and see 
Americans. She sees black people and white people eternally conflicted with one 
another. 
 
           The thesis provides a trove of Mrs. Obama’s thoughts and world view 
seen through a race-based prism.
 
           This is a very divisive view for a potential first lady that would do 
untold damage to race relations in this country in a Barack Obama 
administration.
 
 
 
           Michelle Obama’s intellectually refined racism should give all 
Americans pause for deep concern.
 
           Now maybe she’s changed, but she sure sounds like someone with an axe 
to grind with America . Will the press let Michelle get a free pass over her 
obviously racist comment about American whites? I am sure that it will. 
 
           PS: We paid for her scholarship.

Landmark gun rights case

The court’s 5-4 ruling struck down the District of Columbia’s 32-year-old ban on handguns as incompatible with gun rights under the Second Amendment. The decision went further than even the Bush administration wanted, but probably leaves most firearms restrictions intact. The court had not conclusively interpreted the Second Amendment since its ratification in 1791. The amendment reads: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

Writing for the majority, Justice Antonin Scalia said that an individual right to bear arms is supported by “the historical narrative” both before and after the Second Amendment was adopted. The Constitution does not permit “the absolute prohibition of handguns held and used for self-defense in the home,” Scalia said. The court also struck down Washington’s requirement that firearms be equipped with trigger locks or kept disassembled, but left intact the licensing of guns. Scalia noted that the handgun is Americans’ preferred weapon of self-defense in part because “it can be pointed at a burglar with one hand while the other hand dials the police.”

Gun rights supporters hailed the decision. “I consider this the opening salvo in a step-by-step process of providing relief for law-abiding Americans everywhere that have been deprived of this freedom,” said Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association. The NRA will file lawsuits in San Francisco, Chicago and several of its suburbs challenging handgun restrictions there based on Thursday’s outcome.

Occasionally when discussing the CofCC, or handing out literature, I am asked whether it is just a southern organization, or whether it is relevant to those whose ancestors either fought for the North, or perhaps those ancestors were not even in America in the 1860’s.  It is my design to provide an answer to those and other questions. 

The CofCC was founded by men whose political background was rooted in Traditional Conservatism, and a very strong Southern heritage.  Traditional Conservatives did not shy away from issues regarding State Sovereignty, Race Relations, and very strong Traditional Christian Values.  It is no secret that the Southern States have had hotbed issues revolving around the rights reserved for the states from the War of Northern Aggression up to the current day of trying to preserve true history and traditional family values and the right to honor ones ancestry: unashamed.

 Thus, it is only natural that an organization that fights for these issues would be spearheaded by the Southrons in the beginning. 

Regardless of wherever else you may live, it cannot be denied that the South has had to go above and beyond when it deals with race relations.  Though slavery and segregation was just as recognized in the North, it is the south that must bear the cross of an entire nation from Jamestown to the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and beyond.  Ken Grissom, in his book “Southern by the Grace of God” goes into great detail regarding this.  When one thinks of Segregation, they think of Alabama, or Mississippi but certainly not Michigan, or Ohio.  Though segregation was practiced widely, it is the South alone that must atone for America.  Though riots were widespread by the ‘non-violent’ marchers, it is the riots in the south that gathered the major focus of bad press, not Chicago or Detroit.  It is because of this, that the CofCC attracts many Southerners to its ranks.  The other states have not had to bear constant ridicule and hatred for past policies. 

The Confederate Flag is spread widely within the ranks of the CofCC.  Let’s face it, there is no other American symbol so hated as the Battle Flag.  Because it is the last flag to stand up for the rights of the States as declared under the 10th Amendment, it does hold a deeper meaning than the average person would imagine.  It is this symbol that both rich and poor rallied to preserve a homeland.  To preserve a way of life in American since it’s founding.  There is no other symbol in America that speaks so much while waving silently.  Though a symbol drawn from Scotland (St. Andrews Cross)  it represents the last gasp of Americans in a struggle for the Rights of the States.  It is more than a relic, it is a contemporary symbol for the same struggle:  State Sovereignty. 

The issue of State Sovereignty affects all 50 States. Perhaps one from New York, or Wisconsin may find the Battle flag a bit ‘outdated’, rest assured that the struggle that baptized it in fire and blood has not lost its importance as we deal with an out of control Federal Government who wants nothing more than to totally control not only every state, but every individual as well.  Because of this fact, the flag is just as relevant today whether in California or Alabama. 

When the Southern guns fell silent in the lost struggle for States Rights, we all lost.  Think about it.

 We face the same issues today: A Federal Government refusing to be bound by the chains of the Constitution.  It is the Southern States that took a stand in 1861.  It is now time for all of us to take a stand for the traditional values that made America a beacon of hope.

Though there is a cultural distinction that remains today between North and South, however, both citizens, regardless of state citizenship, share a dream of an America that will belong to the founding stock and an unapologetic, unashamed population who will rise out of the ash heap of multiculturalism, and White Guilt.  It is the CofCC which now stretches coast to coast and from the Gulf of Mexico through the northern borders and into Canada.  It’s principles are centuries old and have never truly died.  Though bloodied from time to time, those principles which we represent today, are those that are the epitome of a great nation. 

The South fired the shots in 1861 which began the struggle for Independence again.  The battlefield is no longer isolated to a few states, but now a battle is raging in every state.  You are a citizen of a state.  Isn’t it time to take the step across the line and join the ranks of those patriots who still feel the call and responsibility to provide a future for their children?

The Michigan State Police publishes an electronic newsletter called “Legal Update” which is meant to keep personnel informed regarding Michigan law. While it is generally authoritative, it is not the final word on the issues it covers. The disclaimer at the bottom of the page says it all: “This update is provided for informational purposes only. Officers should contact their local prosecutor for an interpretation before applying the information contained in this update.” That said, I have yet to find a factual error or legal interpretation that I would disagree with after several years of reading Legal Update on a more or less regular basis. The latest Legal Update deals with several firearms-related issues. My brief commentary follows each subject:

Open carry of firearms
Subject to MCL 750.234d, it is legal to carry a visible pistol in public.

    MCRGO has not adopted an official position on this subject. My personal opinion is that while this is true, I agree with Ted Nugent and many others that it is a bad idea in almost every situation. Tactically, you are giving up the element of surprise should you face a deadly force situation. Furthermore, you run the risk of being called in to 911 as a “man with a gun.” I have been on police ride-alongs when this call comes over the radio. It creates a very dangerous situation for all concerned. I do not carry openly. I have a CPL and take care to choose a gun and holster that, along with appropriate clothing, allow me to keep my gun concealed until/unless I need it to save a life.

Possession of a pistol belonging to another
Per MCL 28.432, a person with a Concealed Pistol License (CPL) may legally possess a properly registered pistol belonging to another. The owner need not be present.

    MCRGO has not adopted an official position on this subject. I do not lend or borrow pistols except from/to family members or friends I would trust with my life. My thinking is that a gun is a dangerous tool and if there is any chance whatsoever that it might be misused by the person handling it, I don’t lend it. This legal point does make things more convenient for married couples who “borrow” each other’s carry guns when they both have CPL’s.

Possession of pistols by non-residents
A resident of another state may possess a pistol in Michigan if they have a CPL issued by their state of residence (MCL 28.432 & MCL 28.432a). Without a CPL, a non-resident may not have a pistol in Michigan.

    This one is self-explanatory. There are legislators looking into a change that would make it more convenient for non-CPL holders to come in to Michigan for hunting and competitions with their handguns.

Safety Inspection Certificates
Michigan law does not require a person to have a copy of their certificate with their pistol after it has been registered; nor does the law require that a person keep a copy.

    However, it is a good idea to keep your “green cards.” In fact, I keep a photocopy of the green card for my carry gun in my wallet. It might come in handy if I ever run into one of the very small number of police officers who is anti-gun if he/she makes an issue out of “checking the registration.” Not a very likely scenario but, as an old Boy Scout, I like to be prepared.

Transporting ammunition and long-guns
MCL 750.227d describes the lawful way to transport a shotgun or rifle. While they must be unloaded, they may be transported in the same case as ammunition (including loaded magazines).

    The actual language of the statute is: Sec. 227d. (1) Except as otherwise permitted by law, a person shall not transport or possess in or upon a motor vehicle or any self-propelled vehicle designed for land travel a firearm, other than a pistol, unless the firearm is unloaded and is 1 or more of the following:

(a) Taken down.
(b) Enclosed in a case.
(c) Carried in the trunk of the vehicle.
(d) Inaccessible from the interior of the vehicle.

CPL holders – required notifications
The notification requirements of MCL 28.425f only apply when a CPL holder is actually carrying a concealed pistol. Nothing in Michigan law allows an officer to search a CPL holder to determine whether they are carrying a pistol.

    In other words, merely being the possessor of a CPL is not “probable cause.” I teach that there is no reason not to discuss the CPL issue if stopped by a police officer, even when you are not carrying. I suggest that you simply say, “Officer, I have a Concealed Pistol License, but I am not carrying today.” Disclosure in that situation is not required. However, I can think of no reason not to disclose the fact and neither can my law enforcement friends. We all agree that it might defuse a rare situation where an officer has already determined that you have a CPL and is waiting for the disclosure, or lack thereof. Remember that when you are carrying, you must immediately disclose that fact to any officer who stops you. I recommend that you do so in a calm, reassuring tone for obvious reasons. Massad Ayoob recommends that you simply hand over your CPL with your license and avoid the word, “gun” altogether because that is an alarm word for police officers. Saying something like, “Officer, I have a Concealed Pistol License and I am carrying todat,” seems to work well.

A group of state House Republicans wants more done to crack down on illegal immigration in Michigan.

A group of about a half-dozen lawmakers detailed a series of recommendations Wednesday.

They are pushing legislation that would call for an audit to document how much it costs the state to provide services to illegal immigrants. That could include per-pupil funding at K-12 schools, university aid and health care costs.

The lawmakers also want to make it more difficult for illegal immigrants to get driver’s licenses and other documents that help them remain in the country illegally.

The lawmakers said they don’t want to impede legal immigration or the flow of traffic and business on Michigan’s borders with Canada.
