SORRY STATE OF “WAR-TOYS” NO LONGER “MADE IN USA”!
While most of us have experienced driving a vehicle at least 10 years or older and seeing it literally fall-apart around us via “designed obsolescence” – how would you like to be flying one of America’s frontline combat planes knowing it is an average of almost 20 years old – and getting “older” each flight it takes? Air Force jet fighters, F-15s & F-16s were supposed to last until 2025 but they have been in constant use over the Balkans, Afghanistan, Iraq & elsewhere for more than a decade now – and THEY ARE LITERALLY FALLING APART with no American replacements! So instead of having the MIC (Military Industrial Complex) here in the USA design, build & manufacture new “war-toys” – the Pentagon has decided to buy military planes from the EADS (European Aeronautic Defense & Space Co.)! Forty BILLION dollars will buy 179 tanker-planes build by EADS, shipped to the USA and assembled in Alabama – thanks to the so-called “free-market-economy” of the late-bastard Milton Friedman!
Until the second-term of the “Bush-regime” the national policy was to promote & foster development of domestic industries to support the self-sustaining MIC – awarding defense contracts to domestic producers from design to technology to manufacturing to spare parts always keeping the money, jobs and supply chain MADE IN AMERICA, of, by & for Americans! But now the DOD is forced via “Friedmanism” to find products for the cheaper price and to hell with yet more American workers! Due to the systematic destruction of America’s industrial & manufacturing infrastructure, the USA is now so weakened that it must rely upon foreign producers & suppliers THAT GREATLY PUTS THE USA AT RISK for its own self-sufficiency that has existed since the founding of this nation! Our Forefathers learned almost too late the great risk of depending on their arms, military equipment & supply lines from the Brits when England occupied the Colonies and then invaded with foreign mercenaries! As a direct & proximate result, Our Forefathers implemented a national defense strategy that promoted INDUSTRIAL & MILITARY SELF-SUFFICIENCY in order to enhance our national security in the face of foreign entanglements!
Now to rebuild America’s industrial & manufacturing infrastructure back to what is was before the Reagan-regime & Bush-regimes destroyed it via “Friedmanism” and “privatization” – it will take every bit a decade or two! If not, then America will indeed become a “Third World” country with NO MIDDLE-CLASS and only a few rich and all the rest of us in poverty! Destroying our national self-sufficiency has drained our country’s industrial & manufacturing life-blood! And now it threatens the very existence of America itself! Let’s take it back!
