The young are trained to take the wrong side in a dispute even before
they have grasped that there is a dispute, or what it is about. This
is the environment in which people are “educated” by the
anti-Christian priesthood of public school teachers.  Consequently,
Christianity has been relegated to a barely tolerated superstition.
Materialism, the denial of the spiritual, enjoys the status, as well
as all the advantages, of an established religion. Evolution – “the
creation myth of the materialists,” as Mr. Green aptly puts it – now
permeates both popular and “high” culture.
