The Moral Cowardice of the Left

There is a moral cowardice to the left which they make
every effort to conceal, even from themselves.  They
refuse to deal with reality, and, instead, hide their
heads in fantasies, lies, distortions of the truth,
the substitution of lies for the truth, and avoidances
of the truth.

They have no ability to deal with free speech, and,
so, refuse it to others, by way of their “politically
correct” thought police (on college campuses, for
example) and their “watchdog groups” (the so called
Southern Poverty Law Center, for example), by control
of the media, by social and psychological coercion, by
threats to peoples’ livelihoods, by violence, and by
imprisonment under such things as the tyrannical “hate
laws” which they have brought into being.

Critique and criticism are crucially necessary to a
free society, so that we can make decisions based on
the facts, but this is not what the left allows.  It
allows only its own voice, and makes every effort to
shut down all others.  But, then, a free society is
not what the left wants.

They wish for a totalitarian society, as reflected in
their love for such things as communism and other such
tyrannies, and their use of Orwellian newspeak, a
technique straight from Orwell’s “1984.“  They do
things like use catchwords, such as “hate,” and
“Nazi,” and how truthful their use of such words is of
no concern to them.  They use labels to smear others -
as a means to avoid dealing with actual facts and
actual individuals - like who a person really is, and
what they really have to say, as opposed to what the
left wants them to be seen as.  (E.g., a person who is
concerned about the overpopulation of the United
States, and concerned for its ecology, is
automatically labeled as a “racist“ and a “Nazi,”
because such concerns call for a sane immigration
policy.)  Shutting down free speech, and forwarding
their insidious agenda, that is what is of concern to
them.

They refuse to have questioned their leftist biases,
and make effort to prevent the thoughts of others from
even being considered.

They are against presenting ideas and facts for people
to draw their own conclusions, but, rather, carry out
censorship and the management of what people are
allowed to read, see, hear, by lies, distortions, and
amazing omissions of what is actually happening in the
world, our world, a world that they are making ever
worse.
