Man robs store, saying he had bomb strapped to him

FLINT - A man robbed a Flint convenience store around 3:45 a.m. Thursday after telling the clerk he had a bomb.

The suspect walked into the business on S. Dort Highway and said he had a bomb strapped to his chest and to open the cash drawer. Not believing the suspect, the woman clerk laughed at him and said, “Really, you have a bomb on your chest?” according to a Flint police report.

The suspect then got mad because he was not being taken seriously and then threatened the clerk, saying she should open the drawer or he would kill her. She opened the drawer, and he grabbed as much money as he could and went out the door, according to the police report.
